VisualEditor: add an option to cancel loading the preview of the page in new wikitext editor
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

Currently, when one clicks "Review changes" or "Preview" after editing a large page, they have no choice but to wait for the process to load.

Clicking the "X" or "<" does nothing.

On some of the most high-profile pages, like Donald Trump, this can lead to timeouts more than 50% of the time, with no way to stop them. This is incredibly frustrating.

Please add a simple button (or make the existing ones work) to stop loading a review or preview of changes.

The back button after using the "Review your changes" button works for me, even if it's still loading.

However, I can confirm the problem with the "Show preview" button when using the new wikitext mode. Using it apparently disables all other buttons in the dialog, including the close button, until it's done loading.
