"Edit" was "Change", "Contributions" was "My Changes" and so on. See screenshot. Appears to have resolved itself somehow partially, but I have no idea why it happened at all.
Almost forgot:
Expected behaviour: I see the user interface in English, the language I have set in my preferences
What happened instead: I saw the user interface in simple English, like https://simple.wikipedia.org/
Wait.. the Betacommons logo now links to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Main_Page ? (okay that's T247078)
Expected behaviour: the Betacommons logo links to https://commons.wikimedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Main_Page
What happened instead: the Betacommons logo links to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Main_Page
The sidebar is still simple English.
Expected behaviour: see "Donate", "Random page" etc
What happened instead: I see "Give to Wikipedia", "See any page" etc
Reopening as T247078 only concerns the logo/main page links/redirects and not the UI/sidebar language.
I see "English AJ Alerts (0) Notices (0) Talk My settings Beta Watchlist Uploads My changes Log out" and "Read Change View history" again.
The "simple" stuff in the sidebar is fixed though. (I see "Donate" and not "Give to Wikipedia")
