Content Translation tool keep saying there is problem with the translation, blocking submission
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Dear languag tool team,

If this is not the right place to file bug, please help triage.

Myself User:Xinbenlv and my friend User:Miwikia is doing translation from EN to ZH, and we both have encountered that even though we have hand translated all the content, they submission is still blocked, and we couldn't even submit it to personal or community draft. Is this something a known issue?

Event Timeline

Update, submission succeed after retry today with same content. The root cause is still unclear.

Update same issue happens again on different topic. Attached a screenshot{F31697223}

Thanks for the feedback, @Miwikia. Can you tell us what does the error message on the right side says. For those not speaking Chinese it is a bit hard to translate from the image.
At first sight, it seems to be the message that prevents publishing because the original translation was not edited enough. Publishing is blocked when the contents contain 99% or more of unmodified contents for the whole document. So editing the initial translation just a little should be enough (unless there is a particular bug). This page describes how the current limits work. Please let us know which is the error that you are seeing, and whether you tried to modify the initial contents during the translation.
Thanks!

Thanks for updating. Sorry for the confusing screenshot. The error message says that "There are some problems in your translation" without pin point any specific problem.
Yes, my edit version is modified from initial machine translated content, but I rephrase each sentence and word on my own. So I'm positive that the change rate is at least 30%.
Actually, the second issue I mentioned above was automatically resolved itself after a day.

To be more precise, the current problem is translation page would be blocked to submit after first edit, after a few hours, it would unblock automatically.

Thanks!

Thanks for the details. I'm still not sure if this may be because of the machine translation limits (which seem unlikely) or the edit filters. Can you share the page that the link from your screenshot is pointing to?
thanks!

Are this task and T246215 the same?

After taking another look, it seems that the issue in the current ticket is produced because of an abuse filter, and the lack of detail (probably produced because of T246215, may be the reason). So I think it make sense to mark these as duplicates.
