Placement of infobox template advisories on mobile is right-aligned and detached from the infobox
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Infobox advisories like "The template xxx is being considered for merging" from https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Infobox_royalty are displayed at the right of the first line of text on mobile, just as they are on the desktop. On mobile, this results in a line break after the first few characters of text and also means that the advisory isn't near the infobox. See the uploaded screenshot for an example.

Hi @Danbloch, thanks for taking the time to report this!

Indeed, going to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnus_the_Good?debug=true and looking at the source code via the web browser's developer tools, the <div id="tfd"> (stands for "Templates for discussion") defines its CSS as float: right;. Just like the Infobox template does.

Not sure this is MobileFrontend or Reading-Web-Local-Wiki-Issues.

This is an issue with the underlying template and not the MobileFrontend software. That template is using {{{Template:Tfm/dated}}} which creates an element floated to the right of its container.

My advice would be to wrap the whole template with <div class="infobox-container"></div>.

But this should be discussed on the talk page.
