On https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-rendering

In Languages subsection, ”compact language list” is a red link because prefix is MediaWikiwiki: instead of mw:.

Since this prefix is enabled on Wikimedia cluster, it should be enabled on Translatewiki.net too because the mentioned case is probably not the only one.

Does someone know

how to update the set of interwiki links (I assume they are shipped with MediaWiki)
whether updates expected happen automatically or manually

I can’t say whether this update is expected to automatically happen, but maintenance/populateInterwiki.php seems to be design in this purpose. But I find it curious that it doesn’t use maintenance/interwiki.list nor maintenance/interwiki.sql.

I took backup of the interwiki table, then I ran populateInterwiki.php and then I manually removed all interlanguage links it unhelpfully added.
