fix newly imported cable data in ulsfo
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

This task will track the newly generated cable id issues in ulsfo, as @ayounsi imported all our server cable data just now, and some of it has (commonly made) mistakes from our recording of the data.

Next time I am onsite, I'll clear up the following issues:

https://netbox.wikimedia.org/extras/reports/cables.Cables/

  • - atlas-ulsfo network cable needs its ID updated in netbox. It is mistakenly NOT showing as an error on the report, but we know it should be. Arzhel opened T250405 to get this report error corrected, and I'll fix the physical missing ID next visit.

cable is confirmed 1036 in use 2 places:

  • - audit and list all the mgmt network cables, none are presently listed. - this is being done as part of the msw swap on T256300

Adding to the TODO:
mr1-ulsfo:ge-0/0/1 cable (to msw1)
mr1-ulsfo:ge-0/0/3 cable (to msw2)
Are missing the cable ID, color and remote port#

Please also track and add to Netbox the switch mgmt cables.

Please note this will NOT be fixed quickly, as we are limiting on-site visitation due to covid-19 shelter in place restrictions. Since this is just auditing cables, it likely can simply wait until we have to go onsite, or have to have another remote hands task filed with Digital Realty.

https://netbox.wikimedia.org/dcim/cables/1632/ was also missing a cable id (zayo link) and added it to both gsheet xconnect tracking sheet and to netbox info
