Add "Muted pages" option to Preferences > Notifications - like existing "Muted users"
Closed, DuplicatePublicFeature

Description

It might be useful to add "Muted pages" option to Preferences > Notifications - like the existing "Muted users".

Sometimes (see ru-wiki techforum at https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Википедия:Форум/Технический#функция_"Уведомления"_-_редактирование_списка) once created page gets too noisy with notices.

Say one created a redirect (so added to his watchlist). And later that redirect became a full-standing page with many links created on a daily basis and other event .
One option is to drop that page from the watch list.
The other is to uncheck "Page link", "Connection with Wikidata" and other notice-producing options. But it affects all pages in the watch list.
The third option could be to have "Muted pages" equivalent to already existing "Muted users" to manually fill with particular pages.

Muting users was part of Anti-Harassment, but I don't think muting pages would be. Just in case, cc @Niharika

@Neolexx: Could you explain why you do not drop that page from the watch list?

To be honnest I'm not quite sure yet: it is not my demand but a reflection of the tech discussion with some arguments (initially linked). So I'm merely this task (feature request) technicak creator and translator.
But I forwarded your question asking to be concise so I would translate it: https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Википедия:Форум/Технический#que01
