Forgot to close this when wikimedia.riot.im was decommissioned. It was a test instance for a WMF-internal Matrix chat system, so registration was limited to WMF staff. I do hope we'll have a Matrix instance open to the entire community once - see T254691: Consider hosting an instant messaging software and T193961: Set up Matrix.org homeserver on the Wikimedia Cloud VPS about that.
