Adding qualifiers to a symmetrical property in Wikidata doubles the claim
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

I have been adding "has part" property to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q4891305 and found that this creates automatically "is part of" symmetrical claims at any given item that is mentiones (for example: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3571350). This is great, but there is a bug. When you add a qualifier (start point, for example) it doesn't add the start point to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3571350, but doubles the claim.

It should add the qualifiers, and not the same information again.

Are you sure this isn't due to the presence of "[[User:Frettie/consistency check add.js]]" in your common.js?

I have just suppressed this feature from the tool.

It may be, but then there is a problem with that tool.

After an attempt to fix this and trial re-enabling, I had to disable it again.
