I would wait on this. We undeployed this only on the Wikimedia cluster. Non-Wikimedia wikis that use Parsoid/JS might still be using this extension. In another year's time, Parsoid/JS will be unsupported and that might be a good time to do this.

I would wait on this. We undeployed this only on the Wikimedia cluster. Non-Wikimedia wikis that use Parsoid/JS might still be using this extension. In another year's time, Parsoid/JS will be unsupported and that might be a good time to do this.

I was about to say that.

Documentation about Extension:VisualEditor still points to the nodejs Parsoid service. Parsoid-php is supposed to be included in MediaWiki 1.35 with hasn't been released yet.

I only filed this task so it didn't end up forgotten and someone would encounter it when working on T190671: Identify archived extensions on mediawiki.org but not on Gerrit (and viceversa).

Unfortunately we can't stop drive-by "helpful" users making it seem like this software is supported for third party users. It isn't.
