[SPIKE-1hr] Identify high impact Chromium/Webkit bugs
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

This is a spike to identify which of these Chromium/Webkit bugs [1] would have a high impact on VisualEditor.

The Performance-Team will take the bugs we identify into consideration when deciding which issues they will have addressed.

Context

The Performance Team is working with a contractor who will spend the next ~2 months working on WebKit and Chromium code.

In preparation for this work beginning, they compiled a list of outstanding bugs based on the Chromium tracker bug for Wikipedia [2].

Done

  • The bugs in "Sheet 1" of this spreadsheet [1] have been assigned a priority (Low, Normal, High).

Note: it's okay if you are not able to review all of the bugs included in the sheet.

@ppelberg will follow up with the performance team about this

The current contract with Noam is over this week. He's made a ton of updates to the spreadsheet with what he's done, etc. I should find out today or tomorrow if we extend his contract into the next FY and by how much.

I'm boldly closing this considering @dchan already reviewed the spreadsheet and Noam's contract is likely to have finished by now.
