2020 week 26 1.35-wmf.38 Changes wmf/1.35.0-wmf.38

This MediaWiki Train Deployment is scheduled for the week of Monday, June 22nd:

Monday June 22ndTuesday, June 23rdWednesday, June 24thThursday, June 25thFriday
Backports only.Branch wmf.38 and deploy to Group 0 Wikis.Deploy wmf.38 to Group 1 Wikis.Deploy wmf.38 to all Wikis.No deployments on fridays

How this works

  • Any serious bugs affecting wmf.38 should be added as subtasks beneath this one.
  • Any open subtask(s) block the train from moving forward. This means no further deployments until the blockers are resolved.
  • If something is serious enough to warrant a rollback then you should bring it to the attention of deployers on the #wikimedia-operations IRC channel.
  • If you have a risky change in this week's train add a comment to this task using the Risky patch template
  • For more info about deployment blockers, see Holding the train.

Just adding a quick note, that cpt has moved some mediawiki REST endpoints from /v0 namespace into /v1 (https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/core/+/604441). This shouldn't be a problem but just making a note of it.

To be clear, moving the endpoints to v1 means enabling them on all sites. v0 is only enabled on test and beta. The new batch of endpoints going live for the first time include endpoints that allow page edits via PUT and POST. We are not expecting much traffic on the new endpoints yet.

brennen moved this task from In Progress to Done / Defunct on the User-brennen board.

Deployed to all wikis yesterday, seems to have stuck. Calling this resolved for the week.
