Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open https://payments.wikimedia.org/index.php?title=Special:AstroPayGateway&appeal=JimmyQuote&ffname=astropay-in&recurring=false&payment_method=cc&gateway=astropay&uselang=en&country=IN&amount=300&utm_medium=sitenotice&utm_campaign=test&utm_source=B1920_0616_enIN_dsk_p1_lg_txt_cnt.no-LP.cc&utm_key=otherAmt_0%7Evw_1280%7Evh_578%7Etime_619&currency=INR
  2. Observe extra spacing between currency symbol and amount

Actual Results:
Currently there is a space between the currency symbol and the amount

Expected Results:
We would expect there to be no space between the currency symbol and the amount

This doesn't seem to be the case for USD, so it might be specific to that currency:

Thanks for the quick reply Mepps!

Since this banner is going to be used for the India campaign, we need it to display the currency symbol and amount right next to each other without a space. Would it be possible to just change the spacing on the INR version?

@jbolorinos-ctr Yes, I was just confirming that it's only on the INR currency, meaning we have to look specifically what's going on there to fix it.

@jbolorinos-ctr It looks like the space is correct for INR, and comes from PHP native code.

@CDenes_WMF , @jbolorinos-ctr @spatton @EMartin This is really just one little space and it seems to be an issue with this currency symbol. I don't see this as a huge blocker. Thoughts?

Based off citation above, spacing looks correct for INR (i.e. ₹ 1,234.56). Not a blocker. thanks!
