[wikimedia/fundraising/crm@master] Create Japanese recurring notification html and subject templates.

This has been deployed along with an option to test it with the /admin/config/thank_you/test page. In the Template drop down pick recurring_notification and then changing the language to ja.

Thank you Christine! I've sent the email produced by testmeister to our Japanese translator for review.

In the meantime, I noticed that there is no footer included in the email. I noticed the English version does not have a footer either. Looping in the TY email coalition @MBeat33 @TSkaff @Pcoombe -- do we need a footer across all languages?

I just spoke with @TSkaff The footer text should exist somewhere. Please add it to the Japanese and english version. Just for reference the text appears in this slide:

I want to recognize that the email for failed recurring also doesn't have a footer but that is not in scope for this task.

Thanks David! Since the footer is the same as the footer in the 'standard' Ty email -- please find the Japanese translation of the footer within the Japanese TY Email file (recently pushed to production in this phab task: )

Thank you!

@DStrine @TSkaff Would the recurring notification footer still need the tax info? It might be confusing since they haven't donated that amount yet.

That makes sense to me @Cstone, and good catch. I amended the footer text here but we should have sign off from a DS rep. Pinging @krobinson for a final check ...

Agreed - this is more a confirmation that the monthly will happen next month, so no tax info. So long any actual donations include it, I think it's not necessary here. Thanks for checking @TSkaff

@Cstone Looks like it's approved now; so the footer is just:
Many employers will generously match employee contributions: please check with your employer to see if they have a corporate matching gift program.

If you do not wish to receive any future fundraising emails from the Wikimedia Foundation, you can unsubscribe instantly. Please note we will still send you receipts, like this one, for future donations.

Thank you again!

Thank you all! @Cstone I had our Japanese translator review the email via the production testmeister and found two mistakes that need correcting. Please see these annotated here

As for the Japanese footer, considering Thea's note above, I added the corresponding Japanese translations to the google doc above as well.

Thank you very much!

Kind regards,

@CDenes_WMF The testmeister was missing the day of the month for the recurring notifications. I updated it so it will now send the date out correctly. The Japanese one now says:

Is that what the red box in the annotated document means? Looking at the document it now I don't have edit access, do I need that to see the other mistake?

[wikimedia/fundraising/crm@master] Add footer to the English and Japanese recurring notification emails.

I just have you edit access @Cstone :)

I see what you're referring to; so this:

ご寄付は、あなたが中止を希望されるまで、毎月%%day%% 日前後に引き落とされます。

vs. the phrase just below it:

Is it true that every donor is debited exactly on the 6th day of the month? If yes, the original phrase works. Camille can confirm, but I think we asked the translator to give us a more simplified version, b/c we weren't sure exactly when donors get debited, nor do we have translations set up for every day of the month (6th, 7th, 8th, etc).

Hopefully that helps and I didn't just make everything more confusing!

Thank you, Thea. Confirming that is correct.

Donor Services confirmed awhile back that the simplified version was OK for non-English and I agree that the simplified version is better for translation purposes.

Within the Google Doc that I shared above, I marked (using comments/suggestion mode) where copy should be deleted. Please let me know if it is unclear. Thank you !

Kind regards,

Hey @CDenes_WMF!

I was just chatting with Christine on IRC and apparently only the day # will change, no other changes to the grammar in the phrase, so we should be ok.

It might not hurt to triple check with ichi or Yukari. So it in other words, it will look like:
