When writing a long text, and press preview, the resulting box has no scroll bar. When save that long text, the scroll bar is around the box.

Yes. you can try this by yourself:
Writing a very long line without a wrap/newline in the edit box and than say "preview". The preview text is not wrapped at the end of the page. A horizontal scrollbar is added by browser (FF 3.6.10). Tested on liquidthreads.labs.wikimedia.org. I have no local installation to test against the trunk.

LiquidThreads has been replaced by StructuredDiscussions on all Wikimedia production wikis (except one, which will be done soon). It is no longer under active development or maintenance, so I'm re-classifying all open LQT tasks as "Lowest" priority.
