Translated template not updating

Description

Expected behavior

Edits to Template:MediaWikiHook appear immediately after publishing.

Observed behavior

Edits are recorded as published but do not appear in the template when invoked on a page.

Workaround

Adding or removing the space in <languages /> triggers the changes from earlier edits to appear in the template. For example, this edit followed by this dummy edit.

Could you clarify the steps? Is it:

Translate an unit to language xx, but Template:MediaWikiHook/xx is not updated to reflect that?

Or is it something else?

Definitely!

  1. Make an update to the template itself, for example 3893225.
  2. View the template page, and see that the preview appears as if the edit has not been made.
  3. Make a dummy edit to the template.
  4. View the template page again, and see that the preview is now updated with the original edit.

Thanks. I am marking this as duplicate of T255334: Translation page does not contain the latest translations/last translation since it seems to be about the same thing.
