Quarry's download as "Excel xlsx" creates an empty file last 2 days

Description

I regularly use Quarry's download as "Excel xlsx" option but it does not seem to work for me last 2 days. If I save the file than it is zero size. I just tried it with https://quarry.wmflabs.org/query/43208. Download as CSV works fine, except that CSV files are often problematic as they cant handle international characters in file names.

Due to T238375: quarry-web-01 leaks files in /tmp.
There were 10G of tmp files in /tmp, making / (/dev/vda3) full. 778 files.
