The populateContentModel.php maintenance script was used to populate the rev_content_model and ar_content_model fields when they were introduced. Per 1.35, these fields have been dropped again, in favor of the slots and content tables, which are populated using the populateContentTables.php script. populateContentModel.php is no defunct and and should be removed.
