Received a notification of my edit being reverted that links to my own edit
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

See screenshot. The message "Your edit on ‪User talk:Jimbo Wales‬ was reverted. Reverted to revision 968426739 by Davey2010 (talk): Sock (TW)" supposedly came from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/MelbourneStar, but MelbourneStar didn't even edit between my revert and now.

I can only imagine that I beat MelbourneStar to the punch and received a notification of what ended up being a null edit by MelbourneStar, as there is an edit summary ("Sock") which is different from my edit summary. ("Rv") The link in the notification is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Jimbo_Wales&oldid=prev&diff=968427562&markasread=195425663&markasreadwiki=enwiki.

This message from MelbourneStar confirmed my theory: "That's very strange indeed. But yes, you are correct. I got an edit conflict saying that an identical revision had already been made (yours)."
