As I'd like to avoid overlap, I'd first welcome clarification how S14 (requested in T175094: Create a project and a Space for CTO-Team) and S16 (requested in T179616: Create a project/Space for WMF-CTO-Admin-Sensitive) would be related.

ahh, yes. We had created those two boards several years ago and stopped using them a year or two ago. The new board / project would basically be for the same usage as those older boards but with more people involved. Would it be easier to close those two old boards down and start fresh or to close all those old tickets out and re-purpose one of the boards and delete/archive the other?

@debt: If I get it right, it sounds like we should archive one Space (which one?) and one project (which one?) in any case?

Would it be easier to close those two old boards down and start fresh or to close all those old tickets out and re-purpose one of the boards and delete/archive the other?

Both is possible. (The irony is because these are isolated Spaces I have no idea what has [not] been going on in these Spaces, so they are blackboxes to me as long as I don't use my admin powers to make myself a (temporary) member of these Spaces.) I have a slight preference to "reuse" a Space (simply because it's less setup work).

As per T175094#3591817 and T179616#3767615, @JAufrecht can add/remove users to/from these two Spaces (editing the members of #acl*WMF-CTO-Team_policy_admins and editing the members of #acl*WMF-CTO-Admin-Sensitive_policy_admins). But that account is deactivated.
I could be bold and temporarily make myself a member of these Spaces, give you permissions to edit Space members, then remove myself as a member again, and then post instructions (or also help if things are unclear). If that's okay (explicitly asking as this breaches the isolated nature of items/tasks in these Spaces).

Hi @Aklapper!

Thanks so much for all your help and very sage advice! I have a couple asks - can you make me owner of those two private spaces? I'd like to go in and close out all the tickets that we're not going to get done, or move them elsewhere. My second ask is once I've done that to all the tickets, can you delete the two spaces?

We've come to an agreement to use another tool (Asana) rather than Phabricator for the brainstorming and conversation amongst the technical senior leadership folks. Basically, after a long conversation on the merit of both tools, we felt that the timeline feature that Asana has is super useful to planning out our discussions.

Feel free to pop into the two spaces and give me the necessary permissions and then remove yourself again, until such time I'll need you to delete the space and anything in it (assuming that can be done).

Thanks! :)

I was wrong; I did not have to join the ACL projects myself (and hence be able to look at tasks in the two Spaces) but only had to edit the "Can Edit" policy.

I have given rights to @debt to edit the two ACL projects themselves (and change their members if the corresponding two Spaces are still to be used).

@debt can add/remove users (who can create and access tasks in S14 and S16) via editing the members of #acl*WMF-CTO-Team_policy_admins and editing the members of #acl*WMF-CTO-Admin-Sensitive_policy_admins.

In case that the projects WMF-CTO-Team-Backlog and WMF-CTO-Admin-Sensitive and WMF-CTO-Team-InProgress are not actively used anymore,

In case that the Spaces S14 or S16 are not actively used anymore,

Thanks, @Aklapper - I'll get working on cleaning up those boards!

Hi @Aklapper - I've closed all the tickets that were open on all 3 boards. However, when I tried to archive the 3 projects and the 2 ACLs, I was unable to do so (don't have permissions).

Please go ahead and archive the following:

Thanks so much for your help! :)

Aklapper claimed this task.

I've closed all the tickets that were open on all 3 boards.

Thank you!

However, when I tried to archive the 3 projects and the 2 ACLs, I was unable to do so (don't have permissions).

Eh, now I remember that we changed that recently, right. Sorry!

Thanks again for all your expert advice and help, @Aklapper :)
