Determine global percentage of new active editors from education program
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The Wikipedia & Education User Group has collected usernames from the global education efforts spanning many countries. We would like to determine the percentage of new active editors from all languages, all projects, between July 1, 2019, and June 30, 2020, coming from that group of usernames. This is similar to what was done in T244780 for English Wikipedia, but in this case for all languages and projects.

Thanks!

@LiAnna for the lists of username you shared with me, are there any target wikis for these lists?

@cchen These are from a lot of different wikis -- at least 15 different ones, so if you can run this for just global new active editors that would be ideal.

Based on the usernames you provided, between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020, there are 10.4% (1,887 out of 18,168) of new active editors are from the Wikipedia & Education User Group in an average month.

(Refer to this repo for queries and detailed monthly new active editors count)

Thanks! Just to clarify, the usernames I provided were on behalf of the Wikipedia & Education User Group, not Wiki Education, so they include usernames from about 20 global education programs worldwide, not just Wiki Education's Student Program!

Thanks for the clarification! I just updated the comment.
