I want to set up a sccache cluster (backed by redis) in Cloud VPS for experimentation, to see how much it improves compilation times on Toolforge, and see if it's viable for CI as well. To avoid being a general purpose caching store, I'd firewall it so it can only be accessed through Cloud VPS. If it works well, I'd want to consider setting it up properly inside Toolforge, but that's a discussion for another time.
