The messages "lqt_newmessages" and "lqt-newmessages-n", shown in the top-right corner of the page near the Logout link, should be in lowercase, according to other texts. Checked on MonoBook and Vector skins.

All these messages such as "My talk", "My preferences" etc are capitalized in messages files. Those skins such as Monobook that prefer lowercased versions do it with CSS.
Did you check the CSS to make sure that it applies to the element in question before WONTFIXing?

See it yourself on mediawiki.org. Looks normal in both aforementioned skins.
