Request to make Ladsgroup a gerrit manager

Description

Hello, I would like to join gerrit managers for:

  • Helping out on day to day work of creating new repositories, archiving, etc.
  • Helping with CoC cases (as chair of the committee) on blocking and unblocking users in case it's needed.

I'm already admin in phabricatory

General note only:

Helping with CoC cases (as chair of the committee) on blocking and unblocking users in case it's needed.

As far as I can see, and as gerrit manager myself, we cannot block and unblock users on Gerrit. This is reserved only to those holding Modify Account settings, currently Administrators (ldap/gerritadmin) and VandalFighters (ad hoc group created for the WMF Office account). See https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/admin/repos/All-Projects,access -- @hashar and @thcipriani will know better of course.

If you need to disable accounts on Gerrit you should either become a Gerrit admin or get added to the VandalFighters group.

Thanks for the pointer, I feel if I have the gerrit manager part, later I would be able to use in my CoC role, I don't want to have an almighty role (admin of gerrit), as small as possible. If the ticket doesn't get accepted, I think gerrit manager and vandal fighter would be enough for me.

This is correct.

Added https://ldap.toolforge.org/user/ladsgroup to the "Gerrit Managers".
