How do people get to others’?

Primarily, users get to other talk pages via notifications or article edit history. Since we don’t have both yet, this will be considered in V2. I’ll talk to Carolyn about this in our 1:1 today.

When someone leaves a msg on talk page, you get a notification with a button that will take you to the individual message. How do we best display this?

How is the talk page experience differentiated from notifications?

Not exactly sure what you mean by this. Could you elaborate, please?

How to introduce the feature - to flag there's something new?

I suggest a “silent launch” to production to see how it’s perceived. Then introduce it to users with an onboarding tooltip.

1. ... covers user talk pages from Wikipedia
2. ... doesn’t cover article talk pages

Especially in regards 2. we can optimize a few things for V2. Happy to chat about it in our 1:1 tomorrow and come up with a plan for Q2 to make the UX even better.

Also, is it possible to preview text in addition to the images on a users talk page?

It is not :(

We do not have control over that. The specific template used in that page would need to be updated for mobile support.
