Adding help page link and prompt options to fix mistakes in Odia Wikipedia articles using Content translation and Content translation/V2

"As the Content translation/V2 helps (and rightly so) users to create new articles on a fly, a lot of new users are not really looking at the help page for creating articles with a bare minimum writing standard/MoS, so I'm proposing for adding a link to the help page that simplifies policies and guidelines"

The link to the help page "WP:CS" can be added with an icon and a text "ଲିଖନ ଶୈଳୀରେ ସହାୟତା?" ([Need] help with the writing style?) linking to the help page will be of great use.

There is a new education program -- or something of that sort -- going on that the community is unaware of, and we're experiencing influx of really long articles (as long as 40K words, the whole content created using probably Google Translate resulting extremely complex and gibberish sentences that will take really long time for even long time and experienced editors to fix). My assumption is that at least having a link to the help page might prompt some new editors to read through a rather brief details on the dos and don'ts of MoS and improve their writing before submitting.

Secondly, this might be of help:
When they click on PUBLISH, the tool can proactively ask a question "ଅନୁବାଦରେ ବନାନ ଓ ବ୍ୟାକରଣଗତ ଭୁଲସବୁ ସଜାଡ଼ିଛନ୍ତି ତ?" (have you fixed all the typos and grammatical errors in the translation) with a "ହଁ" (yes) "OR" "ନାଁ, ମୁଁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ପଢ଼ି ସଜାଡ଼ିଦେଉଛି" (no, let me read and fix [those mistakes]) where the latter option can take them back to the editing field to fix any mistakes.

Thanks for the feedback, @psubhashish1. Encouraging users to create quality content is definitely important, and your feedback provides very useful context.
However, additional links to documentation and more warnings may not be the most effective way, and we may need to explore more contextual ways of helping users. Some thoughts:

  • Content Translation provides a link to the translation guidelines, and there are plans to support communities to customize such link as described here: T276895: Link to community-specific translation guidelines. I added more details to that ticket to capture the case of Odia Wikipedia. As part of the translation guidelines communities can provide the necessary information directly or as links. However, this may be effective only for those users willing to invest time in learning the system before using it.
  • Content Translation supports a system of limits that encourages users to edit the contents further to prevent the publication of unedited machine translation. If these limits are not working as expected for Odia we can adjust them and make them more strict if its needed. There are also other aspects that may be improved in the limit system (T251887).
  • For more general grammar, typo and Wikipedia editing practices, those can be incorporated into the more general editing tools to benefit the community at large (not just translators). There is a proposal to provide more in-context guidance for editors here: T265163: Create a system to encode best practices into editing experiences. I added more details to that ticket to capture the case of Odia Wikipedia.

I think the above tickets would cover the needs for encouraging translators to improve their content. Now that the context mentioned here has been included in the corresponding tickets I think the discussion can continue in those and I'll mark the current one as a duplicate (but happy to reopen if anyone thinks otherwise).
