The MediaViewer extension does not display contents of expressions encoded in <math> tags.

For example https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Peano_intersection.png#/media/File:Peano_intersection.png should display the equation of the surface: <math>z = -(y^2-2 p x)(y^2-2 q x)</math>.

Instead, is quietly ignores the equation just displaying the text components of the description.
