I can't find the word "span" on that page. Please paste the actual bug report here in Bugzilla or at least link to it with a real link.

It does go where you are telling it to, it is positioned relative to the bodyContent div, which is lower in the vector skin (because of the bigger tab buttons), so the flag is lower than the logo in the vector skin. That's what position:absolute means, it is relative to the nearest parent element which is not statically positioned, in this case bodyContent. It is not relative to the page itself.

This is not really a bug.

if this is not really a bug than could someone redirect me to somewhere that can answer this in any way other than "file a bugzilla"?

see my answer at the technical village pump. The best way to do this would be similar to topicon, using css that's different for each skin.

It does go where you are telling it to, it is positioned relative to the
bodyContent div, which is lower in the vector skin (because of the bigger tab
buttons), so the flag is lower than the logo in the vector skin. That's what
position:absolute means, it is relative to the nearest parent element which is
not statically positioned, in this case bodyContent. It is not relative to the
page itself.

Closing INVALID.

Column Prototype
This is a very early prototype of a persistent column. It is not expected to work yet, and leaving it open will activate other new features which will break things. Press "\" (backslash) on your keyboard to close it now.
