Add Discord webhook to wikimedia GitHub for tracking repository changes.
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Hello! I was just wondering if it was possible to have a Discord webhook (All events) added to my GitHub repository located at https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki-skins-Cosmos? In addition, is it possible to change the default branch of this repo to master? Or (another alternative option) is it possible to give me the ability to manage stuff like that myself? Thanks!

I will change the default branch to master as that seems uncontroversial. Regarding the webhook, I do not think I have done anything like that before, so I'd like to ask the Release-Engineering-Team for advice.

Thanks. If you need my webhook url, I have it. Just tell me where to put it if this is possible. Thanks!

Thank you!

Any updates on this? Also is it possible to delete the existing tags and releases from the GitHub that go imported from the previous repository also?

I can try to delete the previous releases/tags, but I feel installing and approving the webhook should be 'okayed' by RelEng. Pings to @thcipriani for opinions.

Thank you! When you need the webhook please let me know. Also, the releases/tags seem to be deleted in Gerrit (unless I'm missing something here), but not in GitHub. https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki-skins-Cosmos/releases

What would be the requested steps to perform here? Something like https://gist.github.com/jagrosh/5b1761213e33fc5b54ec7f6379034a22 ?

Yes. I have a webhook I can share with you to add.
