How many times were you able to reproduce it?
Consistently.
Steps to reproduce
- In the iPad app, go to an article where the main image is a map. Election pages work very well for this, for instance, 2020 United States presidential election or 2020 United States gubernatorial elections
- Tap on the main article image, which is a map (obscured by the viewport box)
Expected results
- Preferable: An expanded view of the map.
- Or at least: The map viewable as a choice as you swipe among the available images.
Actual results
For the 2020 United States gubernatorial elections article, a photo of the face of Texas Governor Greg Abbot—which is the next image in the article after the map. Even if you swipe through every image—quite a long list and a lot of swiping!—you never get the map—so if you were interested in parts of the map obscured in the original view, you are out of luck.
