Lots of Finnish translations for this website have been made on translatewiki.net

https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special:MessageGroupStats&language=fi&group=wikistats shows 31% of it translated to Finnish and 0% reviewed.

Isn't it enough?

https://github.com/wikimedia/analytics-wikistats2/tree/master/src/i18n shows 37 json files, and Finnish is one of them, so it's presumably over the export threshold... But only 11 in the language drop down

https://github.com/wikimedia/analytics-wikistats2/blob/master/src/languages.json has those 11 languages

I guess at this point it's a question for Analytics as to what the criteria/threshold is to be listed in languages.json? With there being ~26 more sets of localisation files, I guess it's not just FI that's seemingly missing.

Ergo Finnish could be added in the near future?

Hi @Jnovikov, thank you for your interest in Wikistats i18n. At 31% completion, Finnish is currently far below our soft threshold to include it in production. We feel that enabling languages with a completion below 70-80% have too much English text mixed in with target language text for them to be useful UX-wise.

That said, we are not i18n experts and this is just an estimate we made within the team based on experience with our respective native languages.

I check the language list and make tests with new languages very frequently so if the completion percentage goes up in Finnish to a usable state, we'll publish it shortly afterward.

(If someone still have enough strength to this case, I can tell that I have noticed some translations that are translated but aren't seen in Finnish. One of them is "Explore topics" (Selaa aiheita), which seems being in English in Finnish version.)

As more specifically viewed I think that all of these translations which are seen to me existed already when I started to translate Wikistats 2.0. 😕
