flow-timestamp-user-formatted shows for all items "one day ago"; cannot tell message order

Description

Let's have a look at this discussion,

Can you tell what order the messages are in, latest first or oldest first?

Impossible: they all say "one day ago."

(Sure, if we mouseover that, we get the exact time.)

So, since there are "ties" in the document, more time details should be shown, to "break the ties."

So what are you actually asking for? It to just display the exact time/date without mousing over rather than the rounded "one day ago"? Or to display both?

Though, aren't they displayed in chronological order anyway, so you know newest is at the bottom anyway? Unless threaded replies maybe...

General bug, no link to Miraheze other than by coincidence it was discovered there so removing my tag but staying subscribed

@Jidanni: If you followed https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug and structured your tasks into steps to reproduce; what you expect; what happens instead, as requested (and ignored) many times, the repeated questions for clarification wouldn't be needed... Would you save people's time and follow in the future?

(First, the average user would have no idea to report this bug to
https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/tag/structureddiscussions/

There just isn't any clue. So I consider that I have already done 95% of
the work in helping get this bug reported to the right place.

Can you imagine one of the participants trying to figure out where to
report this bug? They probably would start out with the Powered By
button at the bottom of the screen.)

Second, all I know is in such situations (Activity burst on day one.
Third party user looks at it on day two.) The order is ambiguous.
So something needs to be fixed. As to "exactly what should be fixed".
Well, I'll leave that to the experts. Just break the ambiguity, one way
or the other.

Naturally if the discussion thread continues past one day, the ambiguity
is broken on its own, so no problem remains. The order is revealed! It
is Older to Newer. OK!:

However if discussion died out, only the "2 days ago" items would be
showing. So no order could be deduced (except via mouseover, or seeing
which person seemed to be answering the item above or below.)

@Jidanni: Hi, if you as an admin know that you use MediaWiki, then https://www.mediawiki.org/ offers a "Bug tracker" item in the sidebar for you. Could you please answer my previous question? I did not bring up "average users" but asked yet again to improve the initial quality of your bug reports. (Different topic.) You are not an average user but an experienced admin. Thanks. :)

@Jidanni: Hi, if you as an admin...

Yes but I am talking about the lowest users.
I'm sure a field test would prove that they wouldn't even know where to start, with the plethora of links on that page. And yes, one could add a "feedback" link, but well all know where that leads (black hole, on Google, Facebook.)

improve the initial quality of your bug reports.

Yes, but all that I see that I missed out was that this was related to "flow-timestamp-user-formatted", but that is "insider information" not obvious from the interface.

Yes but I am talking about the lowest users.

@Jidanni: Yes but I am talking about your bug reports and I'm asking you again (like many times) to please improve your initial bug reports.
Feel free to discuss other general topics (for example about other users) issues on the Phab talk page. Thanks.
