Unprotect certain subpages by default
Closed, DeclinedPublicFeature

Description

On one of the wikis I edit, where Widgets is installed, there are /doc subpages for almost every widget. However, since all pages in the WIdget namespace are protected, including /doc subpages, nobody except for admins can edit documentation, which is independent of the widgets themselves. It would be nice if /doc, /sandbox, and /testcases are unprotected by default, just like templates and modules.

This is a cross-post from the discussion page and a workable and imho better solution was suggested. Issues are piling up for this extension and in comparison this issue is lowest in priority. Still pull requests are of course very welcome.

I'm declining this task - allowing unrestricted editing of any page within the "Widget" namespace seems like a bad idea, due to security risks, even if the page name ends in /doc or anything else.
