Description

Add languages codes pt-colb1945 and pt-ao1990

From: https://r12a.github.io/app-subtags/

We have words with alternative spellings in pt (European portuguese). Example: "caráter" and "carácter" - https://www.infopedia.pt/dicionarios/lingua-portuguesa/Caracteres teh alternative spelling "caráter" was introduced by ao1990

Event Timeline

@Darwinius Where do you want to use them? Monolingual text properties, Lexemes and/or labels, aliases and descriptions?

Should these be codes? Can't they be just spelling variants, as it is done for Hebrew?

Should these be codes? Can't they be just spelling variants, as it is done for Hebrew?

Spelling variants need language codes too and a code can only be used once for each group of spelling variants. We use country, script or other variant subtags where they're available (e.g. we're already using en-gb, zh-hant, de-1901 for spelling variants). When there aren't any subtags we could use, we have no option but to use private use subtags, which is the case for the Hebrew variants.

We could use something like pt-x-Q1113432 instead of pt-ao1990... but why would we want to use a private use subtag that means nothing outside Wikidata instead of a registered subtag?

Looks OK to me.
