Since October 5, 2020, Portuguese Wikipedia has redirected all IP users who try to edit to the account creation page. We should analyze what effect this has on:

• Rate of editing
• Rate of reverting
• Rate of “good edits” (this is probably the most important)
• Rate of new account creation

If the effects turn out to be negligible or positive (which is unlikely), we should consider Portuguese Wikipedia's approach as an alternative to IP masking.
