Following up from this Village Pump discussion, I'd like to request the creation of a magic word that returns the current section number.

@Aklapper, per the linked discussion, it would allow templates such as {{Empty section}} to automatically have the "add to it" link go to the editing window for the correct section rather than the entire page.
