A variant D new user after initiating SE will see an initial SE card will show up only to be replaced by another card
In the animated gif below (with network throttling) a new user doesn't select any filters - a default SE card will attempt to load only be changed by another one.
The the screen recording in the task is from beta. I checked how it looks in production. The issue is present (an initial SE card gets changed), but in production the issue is much less noticeable even with network throttling.
In the screen recording below - the SE module gets initiated with default filters (no filters selection) on ukwiki - and the first SE card is displayed momentarily, then the another SE card is displayed and loads successfully.
Probably something to do with the way code was reworked to handle server-side rendering. Given everything else happening at the moment, how do you want to triage this @MMiller_WMF?
We should not work on this yet, and retain our momentum on "add a link". I'm putting this on our sprint board, because we will want to get to it when we have a chance for some maintenance.
