Description

This task is about revising the behavior and appearance of the existing Discussion tools beta feature that appears in Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-betafeatures to include the new setting that will enable people to control whether the usability improvements are turned on or off (T270316).

Background

Soon, Topic Containers will be made available as a beta feature (T310960 and T282639). In doing so, the features described within the Discussion tools beta feature will become outdated.

Requirements

On wikis where the Discussion tools and Topic Containers are available as Beta Features, the description of the Discussion tools beta feature that appears on Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-betafeatures` should be updated. Specifically, the bullet list that appears beneath the setence Enables experimental talk page features: should be updated to include the following item:

 Enables experimental talk page features:
