Description

This task is about deploying the config change(s) necessary to make the New Discussion Tool available to people at the Arabic, Czech and Hungarian Wikipedias via the Discussion tools Beta Feature. [i]

Deployment timing

On THURSDAY, 18-FEBRUARY, the New Discussion Tool should be made available as a beta feature at the Arabic, Czech and Hungarian Wikipedias.

  • Note: this will happen via a congif change that is deployed during an upcoming backport window. [ii]

  • The deployment date is documented in the ===Deployment timing section above
  • Once deployment date is set, @ppelberg to comment on T273077
  • People at the Arabic, Czech and Hungarian Wikipedias, who turn on the Discussion tools Beta Feature, are able to use the New Discussion Tool.

As discussed during today's standup, the patch can now be written that will make it so the New Discussion Tool becomes available as a Beta Feature at the Arabic, Czech and Hungarian Wikipedias.

Note: we have NOT yet determined which backport window said patch should be deployed in.

@ppelberg Thanks for the info. I find out new error, which should be important to fix before deployment as a beta feature – see T274974.
