Introduction with Melissa Guadalupe Huertas at WMF as an entry to Moodle. She shared her experience from using Moodle , as well as the Facebook educational units, as platforms for learning projects.
There seem to be almost endless possibilities when it comes to producing and sharing training. There are templates that can be used for setting up the training, both facilitated fixed-time training and self-paced. There are also official partners that can be hired for hosting and technical support, as well as creating the content from directions.
Moodle also include forum templates, making it possible to interact with other participants or tutors while taking a course.
A good way of learning how Moodle works is taking their own training.
Meeting held within WMSE to determine the technical aspects of hosting Moodle ourselves, including setting up servers, requirements etc. We will create a trial version to see how it works.
Started to create a Ny i Wikipedia course as a way of investigating the tool. Will compare and contrast it to another editing tool.
