Description

Dlocal explains Wikimedia is on a dated connection of their and we should upgrade. They point out that their 'Smartfields' integration, (developer info here https://docs.dlocal.com/products/smart-fields) will yield better conversion rates for us by improving the end user experience. Smartfields does away with the need for a redirect and sounds akin to the approach we are hearing about from other PSPs. Logging this task in the event we could prioritize this at some stage as it will positively impact India and LATAM and eventually other markets.

We will start by using SmartFields for cards and the DIRECT flow for UPI in India and Pix in Brazil, while we integrate the rest of the payment methods via REDIRECT. As time allows we may later move some other popular payment methods to DIRECT.
