Currently the caption and description fields are multilingual which is a great feature for some, but mostly annoying for single-language wikis.
There should be an option for these fields to be simply single-language. IMO this should be the default, especially given that out of all 723 wikis using UW, there are currently 120 wikis using both UW and Extension:Translate and most of them seem to belong to a single family.
