As shown in the Watch DS Use Civi meeting, when merging via the deduper tool and trying to save an email address from one record to the other (example: newer email address into older record), it doesn't actually save the email address. There is no error message, but it will not reflect in the merged record.

Note that afform stores an override so I need to take some care with deployment but it should be fine on dev installs
