Tech News can be read through RSS or Atom, in addition to various other ways. According to this report, it stopped working in December:

If I understand things correctly, this is something we serve through the FeaturedFeeds extension.
That extension might fall under Reading per https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Developers/Maintainers (I now added a description to that description-less Platform Team project tag; it is way harder for reporters to find the correct project when Phab project tag descriptions are left empty by teams maintaining these project tags.)
Maybe the changes from T264391: FeaturedFeedChannel must not contain a User object, since it cannot be serialized safely. are involved, not sure.

Hey, I'm the one who reported this in meta. Looks like the issue is solved now, thanks to whoever took care of this. This also happened last year, might be related to the new year start, because it also stopped populating the feed after December.
