An API exists at https://ocr.wmcloud.org/api.php but there is no documentation.

Documentation can be added to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Extension:Wikisource/Wikimedia_OCR

API documentation is at https://ocr.wmcloud.org/api/doc — is it sufficient?

And the API docs are linked to from the footer on https://ocr.wmcloud.org/

I think this is probably enough; any shortcomings with it can be handled in separate tasks.
