Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When running run-pipeline.sh for enwiki, an error occurs when generating the anchor-dictionary via generate_anchor_dictionary_spark.py (a spark-job). This error does not occur for any of the other wikis tested so far: simplewiki, arwiki, bnwiki, cswiki, viwki, frwiki.

Pasting the error message for further investigation.

This seems to be caused by the job taking too much resources on the cluster (and thus being killed).
According to the documentation on wikitech I should add the following arguments when starting the spark-job:

--conf spark.dynamicAllocation.maxExecutors=64

In the discussion on #wikimedia-analytics, Joseph recommended to set this to 128 (but not more).

The job does not fail anymore with the additional argument. Will upload a patch.

MGerlach claimed this task.
