Description

We are running three web servers. On one of them we can test the applications after upgrading to PHP 8.

Details

  • Instruct hosting provider to
    • configure the load balancers so that the production applications are not served from web03.
    • provide a separate execution environment for PHP8 on web03.
    • the execution environment should be connected to the test pool and test-spenden-2.wikimedia.de.
  • After testing, the execution environment needs to be applied to all web servers that serve spenden.wikimedia.de.

Notes

  • We need to test/check if the php opcache is properly cleared. If so, we need to ask the hosting provider to switch the PHP version on the two production servers.
