Description

@KHancock99 noticed that PAN donation messaging from India is appearing on Argentine donation forms in English and Spanish, when using the links from yesterday's fundraising email.

She was able to replicate going through the Ways to Give page and using these links:

Kris also tested the Chilean form and saw the same, so this could be across all Latam donation forms (we don't have bandwidth to QA them all). I am tagging this as high priority as the Mexican and Brazilian banners go up on Monday and we need to remove this asap as it is confusing to donors.

Event Timeline

The only way I could reproduce this is by visiting an India form and clicking through to payments first, then shortly after going to another country form e.g. Argentina and clicking through to payments. That produces the known session "stickiness" (T272915) so the panVariant language still shows. Is it possible you had been testing India forms earlier @KHancock99? Can you reproduce this in an incognito window without visiting an India form first?

As Kristie and Kristine are likely off line at the moment, I tested the
links for the forthcoming campaigns and I do not see the PAN language.
That's an interesting twist at how the DR team got there though! I
continue to learn something every day around here!

The PAN messaging is found after clicking the Bank Transfer button on each donation page.

Hmmm, I still don't see it:

@Pcoombe, thank you for looking into this.

At first, I thought it might be a geo-quirk at play similar to T273938, but you're absolutely right. What is being experienced here appears to be consistent with Haley's T272915 as the PAN messaging disappeared when an incognito window was used.

While cookies and cache are always cleared upon quitting my browser at the end of each day, I am clicking on and providing donation links back to donors dozens of times during the day across multiple countries, including India, which accounts for this.

Sorry, I wasn't aware this was already an active issue affecting payment forms.

Declining per standup today. The "bug" around "stickiness" is not really a bug but an issue with testing. There are too many variables involved in testing across borders. Due to payment system limitations and geolocation details it may never be possible for a person in one part of the world to get an accurate experience for a person in another country. DR and advancement need to take this into account when trying to reproduce a bug.
