Hi, yes i'm using the mobile app and have been using the "saved" feature for quite some time, it was never advertised as "synchronization" until now, which made it seem like it was something other than what i was already using... confusing and frustrating beyond measure

I'm using the ios version on my ipad and i'm logged in

Yes, please share this with whoever can help with this, thank you for understanding

Dear (REPORTING USER),

I'm sorry you are having a problem. If I understand your report correctly, you are using the mobile Wikipedia app and the "saved" feature along with synchronization.

Are you using the Apple/IOS version or the Android version?

Can you make sure you are logged in to the app?

Is it OK for us to share the details of this ticket, except for your private email address, with our publicly accessible trouble ticket system so that more specific volunteers can be engaged?

Hi, I need help restoring my saved articles that were deleted by wikipedia
from my account. I've been saving articles for nearly 15 yrs and the app
started "synching" all my bookmarks. It's never done this before, i've
never asked it to, there is nowhere else from which to synchronize articles
*from*. It was never made clear on what it was actually doing, so when i
opted out it deleted nearly 15 yrs of research and i'm trying not to have a
meltdown. The settings and the app/community or whatever is a [REDACTED]
labyrinth and completely un-navigatable

This seems to be the result of confusion around the difference between Saved pages (on the apps) and Watchlist (on the web). These two features are separate and no Watchlist's created over the last 15 years is touched by turning on syncing. However, if the user turned on Saved pages syncs and expected to see their watchlist items they might think they have been "deleted" however, this is not the case. I'd advise the user to look on their browser and check that their lists of items are still there.

The Saved pages has only existed for 7 years and the synchronization has been available for 2, so it is simply not possible we've deleted 15 years of bookmarks.
