As part of the on-boarding process, I am requesting to be enlisted with security@wikimedia.org.

I thought all SRE automagically get security@ as they also go to one of the SRE aliases?

Not anymore, it used to be that way but now security@wikimedia.org is a Google inbox. (since T243446)

So this isn't really an SRE thing anymore.
